Casa Galeriah explores how architecture can encourage healthier and more meaningful ways of living. Conceived in the aftermath of the pandemic, the project responds to a renewed desire for outdoor experiences, well-being, and connection with nature, transforming the house into a framework for everyday rituals of care, contemplation, and social interaction. Located on a flat site near the Paraíba do Sul River in São José dos Campos, Brazil, the residence is organized around a generous leisure area that becomes the heart of daily life. All primary spaces open toward this shared landscape, strengthening the relationship between indoor and outdoor environments and promoting constant contact with natural light, water, and vegetation. The spatial organization encourages healthy habits through architecture. A fitness space overlooking a preserved green area is directly connected to the master suite and linked to the sauna and swimming pool below, creating a continuous wellness circuit integrated into the residents’ daily routine. The project also embraces the educational role of art within domestic life. A dedicated gallery space was designed to display artworks and personal collections, fostering reflection, curiosity, and cultural engagement as part of everyday living.
