The G-Beach Residence project stems from the deep connection between the historic Hotel Bellevue, designed by Renzo Menegazzo in 1956, and its surrounding coastal pine forest. The hotel itself references Oscar Niemeyer’s 1955 Belo Horizonte Library, incorporating iconic modernist features like structural pilotis, an exposed concrete frame, a glazed base, and a distinctive brick lattice façade. These components serve as the precise conceptual and formal foundation for the new residential complex. The project establishes a dialogue of sophisticated mimicry with the historic hotel, blending contemporary concrete and expansive glass with the original exposed brick. Urbanistically, the new building sits perpendicularly to Hotel Bellevue on the eastern side of the site. Its elongated form extends toward the beach, creating a central courtyard where both the new residences and the hotel rooms overlook the sea. This connection to nature is enhanced by large glazed openings, panoramic rooftop terraces, and west-facing loggias that serve as transitional spaces. Inside, the atmosphere is continuously transformed by natural light filtering through the pine canopy and brick screens. Functionally, the complex features an underground garage and four above-ground floors dedicated to the residences.
