Residence HVE is a contemporary dwelling embedded in a forest landscape, where architecture and nature act as equals. Two interlocking volumes form an L-shape: a concrete body that anchors the main living and sleeping functions, and a timber annex that adds warmth and intimacy. The house is guided by the natural slope and a self-imposed height of 4.80m, allowing it to float above the terrain while integrating bedrooms, a gym, and storage beneath, thereby reducing footprint and preserving horizontality. Large openings draw light and seasonal change into the interiors, while privacy is maintained towards the driveway. With a footprint of only 5%, limited tree removal, and reforestation, the project balances environmental respect with architectural clarity, creating a compact, interwoven whole where concrete conveys permanence, timber emphasizes tactility, and the residence becomes and architectural landscape rooted in nature.
